Bio - Simon Hanmer

Motivated by geology and geochemistry, planetary science, public education and outreach
A research scientist with ~50 years experience in structural geology (fieldwork and theory), starting in Britain, in France and then 30 years with the Geological Survey of Canada (retired), I have recycled into planetary geology by combining my twin passions for professional geoscience and amateur astronomy over the past two decades.
